Budget Report
As of February 2025, the POI, or percentage of income, for the month totaled $225,923, exceeding the budgeted amount of $187,990. The budgeted amount is determined based upon what was previously given by EPC churches. The data shows us, year to date, the POI is up by 4%.
In response to these findings, Stated Clerk Dean Weaver shares, “It is deeply encouraging to see our EPC churches be faithful in their giving, as this allows us to continue the work of ministry both locally and globally.”
Fund Balance Report
In addition to small gains in our investments, the EPC has been positioned to do more in advancing God’s kingdom in a variety of ways. For example, the increase in giving to the Domestic Emergency Relief Fund (Ending Balance of $1,020,402) has allowed us to aid churches in their efforts to minister to those impacted by various emergency circumstances, with most recently including the flooding in the Carolinas. The California Wildfire Fund also saw gains with an Ending Balance of $15,365.
In addition to caring for the communities of our EPC churches through these funds, we’ve also been able to care for our EPC leaders through funds like the Pastoral/Spouse Care fund (Ending Balance of $53,718), which focuses on aid for things like counseling, retreats and health and wellness needs. The Care of Chaplains fund provides assistance to our EPC chaplains for things like travel, conferences and additional training opportunities. We are grateful for the opportunity to bless our EPC leadership by being an accessible resource.
As we near the end of this month, we are encouraged by the trajectory of our EPC churches’ giving that has allowed the EPC to do more ministry and operate more effectively.
