MODERATOR’S SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Financial assistance to offset travel costs is available from the Moderator’s Scholarship Fund for ministers and ruling elders from smaller EPC churches. Funds are limited, and Letters of Request should be received by April 30. You can email your Letter of Request to [email protected] or mail to:

Fair Oaks is a suburb on the east side of Sacramento, between Citrus Heights and Rancho Cordova. From the Sacramento Metropolitan airport, take I-5 south for 5 miles, then I-80 East (exit 522) toward Reno for 16 miles and use the Madison Blvd east (exit 96) for 6 miles and turn right on Fair Oaks Blvd. After 1/3 mile, the church will be on the right. Most of the parking is in the back of the church property. You can also park in the Fair Oaks Park next door.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH EVENTS

Completed forms must be turned in to the GA registration desk at Fair Oaks prior to taking part in any of the activities.

LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE

A key strategy for the future of the EPC is creating a leadership development culture as the denomination transitions from a period of transfer growth to a goal of long-term sustainable transformational growth. The third annual Leadership Institute is the premier building block to implementing that strategy. This year, 11 tracks provide a wide variety of options that can help you hone your ministry skills. Click here for more information and a complete lineup of tracks.

NETWORKING LUNCHES

TRANSPORTATION

Rental cars are encouraged for the 2017 Assembly, and there is plenty of parking at the church. There is a large event in Sacramento the same week, so you may want to make your rental car reservation early (we have hotel room blocks reserved, so the other event does not affect our hotels).

In off-peak traffic, the Rancho Cordova hotels are a little more than 10 minutes from the church. The Sacramento Cal Expo hotels (Fairfield Inn and Doubletree Sacramento) are about 20 minutes from the church.

Complimentary shuttle service is available for Assembly participants between the Rancho Cordova hotels and Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church throughout the day from June 20-23. Our plan is to have chartered buses between the Cal Expo hotels and the church between 7 and 8:15 a.m. and between 9:00 and 10:00 p.m. June 20-23. If you use the Cal Expo hotels, enjoy the ride and stay for the day!

Click here for the Hotel Van Schedule. The Fair Oaks Vans and Shuttle pick up at the Rancho Cordova hotels throughout each day between 8:00 a.m. and 6:35 p.m.
Click here for the Dinner Van Schedule. Vans leave Fair Oaks between 5:15–6:45 p.m. and return to the church between 5:40–7:20 p.m.
